Our mission statement:
J.Proud Jewish Philly LGBTQ Consortium is committed to working together as a collective agent of change to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for the diverse needs of the Jewish LGBTQ community while building relationships with allies in the Greater Philadelphia area.
J.Proud’s Consortium of members, including Jewish organizations, synagogues, schools and other institutions, are committed to creating, nurturing, and supporting a comprehensive net of LGBTQ-inclusive programs and resources for the Jewish LGBTQ community in the Greater Philadelphia area. J.Proud hosts events throughout the year for the LGBTQ community, their families and friends in an effort to create spaces that foster building community and pride in being Jewish and LGBTQ.
J.Proud is organized and led by Galia Godel, LGBTQ Initiative program manager at Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia. JFCS provides funding and staff for J.Proud programming and events.
